heck is this 'lil guy?

Appears to be some sort of baby anemone.

Sorry for the pic quality. I don't have a macro lens ANd I could not get a decent focus on it.

its not a majano, they are green with red tips, much more colorful.

Looks more like an aptasia variant to me, or even a small coral type polyp

It doesn't look like any aptasia I've seen before.. And I've seen more than I care to.

It has a foot and looks like a tiny hatian anemone but with short tentacles.

Ball Anemone (Pseudocorynactis caribbeorum)
A beautiful hitchhiker that is occassionally considered a pest for it's reproductive rate like Star Polyps and Xenia are occassionally considered. A Corallimorphian; relative to the Mushroom and Ricordea.

On a personal note, atcually one of my more favorite hitchhikers right behind Stomatella Snails ;)

They aren't short like a carpet but not long like a haitian either, it has a pinkish red foot and pink tips. I guess with how small it is, it may actually have long tentacles. I'll keep an eye on it and see what developes. So far, it's neat.

Actually, it looks like Travis is right on. Comparing what I see in oerson to other better quality pictures It appears to be a ball anemone.

I'm positive that's what they are. They are really cool. Take a look at it after the lights go out and the tentacles should be a lot longer. They decimated my molly breeding tank by eating all the newborn mollies at night.

The fact that they are fish eaters makes me think I need to irraticate them instead of playing russian roulette.

They don't get much bigger than a quarter at most. More often than not, they stay smaller than a dime. You have to remember that baby mollies are just a little larger than a BB. The molly babies thought the balls were food, would go bite them, and get caught. The adults stayed away from them. In fact, I still have a few of them in my tank. If you don't want them, just kill them as you see them, but don't let it get to you. The reproduction rate is nothing like that of Aiptasia. I would put it on the bottom of my "To Kill" list.

After staring in that general area I realized that rock is coverd with them a few a size of a quater

We have tons of the white and orange ball anemones come and go and also in some of the tanks we maintane. Imo they are no trouble at all.We have never seen them take over like aptasia can! Personally I think they are cool looking.
