Hi Reef Central,
This may be a double post. I can't tell if the first one has made it through. I'm excluding my pictures this time, in case I was snagged by a spa filter.
I need some help finalizing the livestock in my Nano
Total system volume is a little over 8 gallons. DT is essentially a 1 ft cube, bow front. Used to be an old AIO tank. I pulled out the AIO divider and built a sump to move equipment out of the DT.
The tank has been running wet a little over a year and half. First coral went in one year ago.
Current livestock:
Yellow watchman goby
SS cleaner shrimp
Emerald Crab
Blue leg hermits (x6)
Turbo and Nerite Snails (x6 total)
I'd like a little more activity in the tank as the yellow watchman mainly hides in his cave. My concern is that I left the rock scape in the tank very minimal. Basically just one platform and cave, centered in the tank.
I like the look of a royal gramma, but I think it will get too big. No?
Maybe a pygmy basslet? But I think that would want more rock work to hide in and around, right?
Is there something that will swim more in the water column above the rocks? A Chromis perhaps? Firefish?
Would a group of sexy shrimp be safe from the cleaner shrimp and the goby? Could they associate with my ricordea mushrooms?
Would any of the above be a good idea, bad idea to try? Something else that I haven't thought of?
Thanks for looking!
