what to do about brown algae on sand?

I am getting a lot of brown algae on my sand and dont really know how to get rid of it. I can swirl around the sand but then it comes back a couple of days later. I do not have an algae problem besides that except for some green showing up on my rock. ANyone know how to cuer that too? Anyways, my turbo snails dont seem to eat up that algae and I was wondering if their was any creatures I could get to eat that algae.

Couple different options for you in this situation. You are gonna want to look at getting some sand cleaning critters, such as Nassarius snails and conchs are among the most common that are used to keep the sand bed clean, as well as keep the top layer of the sand bed stirred up.
