What to do about live sand

Hey guys I am going to move a 125 gal tank I bought. My question is what do I do about the live sand. Do I need to clean some of it. I know there will be a ton of nasty stuff in it i.e. nitrates and waste. what is the best option. I would guess it has about 100lbs of sand give or take.

Just like live rock, put it in a container with a heater. Better yet, if you have a hob skimmer I'd throw that on. Fun time in moving a tank. Just did that 3-4 months ago.
