what to do next?

Ok my tank has been running 2 months.. I added a zoo coral; pods are all over my glass . I want to either add bristleworms, spaghetti worms, mini stars from ipsf or just get live rock from gulf live rock not there premium rock though or just go to my lfs and buy like 8 lbs to seed my rock. ANy body use gulf live rock before? Also how does coralline algae grow? Do you need a rock that has it or does it eventually grows on its own?

bristle worms, spaghetti worms, mini stars, etc. are all things that hitchhike in on live rock. it sounds like you started your tank with just base rock? during this 2 months, did you add anything (like a piece of raw shrimp) to start your cycle?

if you only started with base rock, you should get a few pieces of live rock maybe from your lfs to get things going.

coralline algae will just begin to grow. careful what you wish for...i am constantly scraping coralline off my front and side glass!

yes all base rock thats why I may want to add some live rock.. I mean if I only add 8lbs would that do anything?

how big is your tank? it's usually suggested 1# of live rock per gallon. the reason for this is it will take that much rock to keep up with the bioload when you start adding fish. since you have already started your cycle, you will need a few pieces of live rock to help seed what rock you already have.

40 gallon breeder with a 20 gallon sump. I think I have about 50lbs of base rock or something like that
