What to do/not do with your hands BEFORE putting them in the tank

can maroon clowns cause any bite damage or is it more comical then anything

Also in regards to nitrile exam gloves- do some come powder or am I confusing them with other gloves?

I'm pretty sure some do come powdered. I don't think you want to put those ones in your tank.

For some reason I always end up messing around in my tank just after I shower/shave. Every time I wonder if I rinsed all of the body wash/after shave off of my hands and seriously contemplate washing off again with just water for about 5 seconds but I always decide not to. And then I put my arms in the tank. No problems yet.

Some nitrile gloves are powdered and others are not. Try going to uline or grainger for a box.

I know some are concerned that the soap from washing your hands can be detrimental to the tank. True or false?

I have one since no one is playing. You should not use household cleaners like bleach before entering the tank

I just disposable nitrile gloves. Of course, water gets in there and my hands get wet. When I'm done with tank business, I was with anti-bacterial soap to avoid hurting myself or the dogs.

Depends how big they are and of course their personality - I find if they have something to guard (a host anemone or something they confuse as a host anemone) they are a whole lot more defensive. My current Maroon Clown is only two inches and doesn't have a host (and is put in it's place by a 5" Green Bird Wrasse) so it's almost submissive (for now). Last time I kept a Maroon long enough to grow to full size (5-6" and as a fat as a golfball) it would attack me and often drew blood if I wanted to work on it's 1/3 of my 180 gallon.

Yes they can cause damage. Mine rips bits out of the gloves, and will leave welts on bare skin - B****!!!!!
The gloves I get from Sam's are nitrile but not powdered. I have seen them both ways though.
