What to do with an injured fish?

One of my Percula clown fish has been getting picked on lately by my other Percula and another fish. I thought for sure he was going to die yesterday when I found him trying to swim at the bottom of the tank in the corner while still getting picked on. So I filled a bucket with about 3 gallons of tank water and put him in there. He looked like he was going to die for sure he could barely keep im self upright. I woke up this morning to find him in no better shape then he was last night. When I got home from work today however he seems to be doing better, he was actually swiming around inside the bucket a little. I've added more water from the tank to the bucket but I'm wondering what I should do with him in the long run?!?

I would give him away or re-aquascape your tank

they are most likly 2 female clowns. That level\type of agression will not be relived by rearanging the tank. set up a recovery tank or give the injured one away to some one willing to take care of it.

I picked up a 10g tank, filter, and a heater for a quarantine tank. I drew out 5g water from my show tank and put in half new water. I'll check on him again in the morning.

I also talked to a friend and he may be willing to adopt the little guy if he makes it through.

I would give him away. Some LFS's will give you some store credit for him. Call Wet Pets Plus in North Canton. Ask for John Maloney. He will give you some credit for the fish depending on what it's worth, health etc... Otherwise, it's best to give the fish to someone with an estabilished tank set up. Think about the stress the little fella has gone though. He got his butt kicked, got tossed into a bucket with poor flow, filtration, lighting, etc... And finally put into a dinky 10 gallon tank. The stress of all the above can't be good for his recovery.

He was swimming a lot better last night, he was actually swimming up and down in the tank as well as across the full length of the tank. I'd say he is about 60% at the moment. My friend is going to take him maybe tomorrow.
