What to do?

I have decided that after my first year of college in Arizona that I am going to move up to Iowa and finish college there. I have so much family there and I love the state in general. My biggest issue is that I am planning on adding sps frags soon however I won't be able to bring them with me (IMO they won't make the trip nor survive a mini cycle once the aquarium was moved for several days). I would really hate to part with them just to have to restock the system so I was thinking about going with more hardy corals that might tolerate the move. Any suggestions or comments?

Honestly if I were you I would either wait, or when you move have a friend hold your corals for you, and when your tank is setup in Iowa overnight mail them to you.

wait save for more equipment and ect for when you get to Iowa. I am sure you can hit up Ed's brother from some frags .

besides I think it would be better since you keep changing your mind on what you are doing with that tank . One week its softies next week its sps and back and forth .

That's not a bad idea!

What's the rush?! The less inhabitants you have the better...SPS growth rates and colors won't be nice until your stable for a few months anyways...Maybe buy a super hardy genus, small frag with thin branches ect. and see if he survives the move for experiment purposes. I wouldn't buy a bunch of softies you don't really want just because they could survive the move.
