what to feed a sponge?

I have a blue sponge that is slowly decreasing in size. I've been feeding it Kent Phytoplex. I was reading an article about sponges the other day, and it said the largest particle the collar cells could ingest was 1.5 microns. If that's true, then even DT's is too large. Are there any foods that I could feed my sponge? I'd appreciate any info of sponges.

Do you have a skimmer on your tank? Sponges do better in Skimmerless tanks.

When I feed a tank with DT, the sponges grow faster.

I wouldn't stir up a sandbed.

Best of luck,

Roy

DT's phyto and DT's oyster eggs should keep it happy. There are some other liquid products on the market which should work well also.

My haliclona just died in a week, in the tank, where filter feeders and hitchhiker sponges are doing good.
Autopsy shows, that the big channels inside were blocked by the aragonite.
