What to feed Anemone

You can feed them uncooked table shrimp, silverside, krill. Anything meaty basically. I feed my LTA, RBTA, and mini carpet nem every week or twice a week. I feed them the size of their mouth so my LTA I feed it 1/2" piece of meat, the RTBA about a 1/4" piece and the mini carpet just smaller then 1/4" piece. A lot of people will tell you to stay away from silversides since they have horror stories of how a silverside killed their nem but I've havent had an issue with it.

Where is a good place to purchase the silverside, krill, etc.

Your LFS should have these items. The supermarket also sells a wide variety of seafood. Just tell the butcher that your feeding a sea anemone, and he shouldn't mind selling you small portions at a time.

Btw, I used to feed my RBTA about once every 10 days or so. Mostly small bay shrimp I got at the supermarket. For whatever reason, it used to spit out the silversides. GL.

I feed the tank Mysis shrimp every other sunday, I make sure the Rose bubble gets a few good chunks of shrimp and the clown also feeds it a few pieces. It is a little small right now and I am trying to put a little size on it, once it grows a bit I will stop spot feeding it and let the light and the clown do there jobs.

My RBTA's enjoy small bits of raw minced clam, fish, scallop, squid, shrimp and just about anything else I can find in my local grocery. Just mince it up fine and feed about twice a week but don't feed a new anemone until it has had a chance to acclimate to your tank.

Petco, your LFS, PetSmart, almost any place that sells fish will have silversides. I cut the heads off the silversides and the tails which I just toss them away.
