Hi, I bought a singapore angel today and it is very active, swiming in the open and picking at the live rock a lot but I want to know what would be the best food to keep him the healthy. The angel have not eat because have been hours since is in the tank, it looks healthy but I want it to eat as soon as possible.

Thanks, Pablo

Hey Pablo,

the usual "angel" fair should be offered..... lots of nori, angel mix frozen food, mysis (frozen)..... and a good dried food if you can get him to eat it.

Biggest trouble with angel's in my view is that they freak out quite easily - they need a of peace and quiet i.e. do hands in the water, no peering into the tank at all angles with your face up against the glass etc. Best bet, offer a little food once a day at first - once accepted, offer more. But by offer food every couple of hours then removing it you would be disturbing him too much for him to settle and feel secure.

They are very finicky eaters. I had one for about 1-1/2 months, never saw it eat. It probably starved. Found out afterwards how tuff it is to get them to eat.

Mine was in my 44 gal. with other fish and hid whenever I came in the room or fed the tank. Good Luck. They are beautiful fish, though.
