What to feed RBTA?

I've been feeding my small RBTA a few pieces of frozen mysis shrimp once a week. Is this OK to keep feeding it or do they need a variety.

Mysis are fine if it is small. As it gets bigger you can feed larger items. I buy a bag of frozen shrimp, smaller size, at the grocery store and feed that to my anemones as well as my Miniatus grouper. I just cut them into small pieces depending on the size of the anemone.

i always fed mine silversides....bout every 2-3days....he got huuuuge though fast....my next nem i'll def wont feed as much

I feed my BTA about a 1/2 inch piece of frozen uncooked shrimp about once every week to ten days. I was feeding it more, but it started growing too fast.

I'd like mine to grow faster because it's only about 2-3". What kind of shrimp should I look for in the store?

It'll just label it as uncooked on the bag?

I feed mine silversides. Used to cut them in half. As they got bigger, I fed them whole. But they grew too fast and I cut back on the feedings.

Wondering about eating habits for an RBTA...

I just got my first RBTA, it's very small, only 2-3" and seems to look very healthy (to an untrained eye). I had my water tested today by my LFS, asking specifically about parameters for the RBTA, they said good to very good across the board.

I fed it a piece of a silverside, about 1/2" long. It took it immediately, ingested it right away. I sat watching it for about 45 minutes, just to make sure (yeah, I had some free time today).

It spit it out about 30 minutes after it was fully ingested. Should I be worried? Is it just because it's new to the tank? What do I need to know about why it didn't eat it??

I usually go to the Meat market and get some prime grade A tenderloin. My bubble tip loves it! He's starting too Moo though. Is that a bad sign...Lol!!!

make sure its nice and small peices. What i feed mine every 3 days is a peice maybe a 1/4 of a inch. Mine is small maybe 3 inches. It also had a ruff time adjusting to the tank. Lost off its stickyness. Its eating well now and gaining its color back.

It's been eating up the mysis shrimp I've been trying, just not sure how much to give it. Everything else seems to be fine. I was lucky to get it already attached to a rock that looks decent enough in my tank and it's full of color and seems healthy. I'll try a smaller piece of silverside in a couple days, try to give it a varied diet.

Anyone had any success with a RBTA and a false percula?
