What to feed snails in QT?

I currently have some regular hermits in QT and they're easy to feed. But once they are out I'll be getting some snails and I was wondering what to feed them being that my QT doesn't have any algae. I have a piece of live rock in there that I never plan on putting in the DT but there isn't much algae on it.

I just worry that 30-72 days will kill anything if not fed.

If there's nothing for them to clean up in the QT for weeks, wouldn't they starve to death?

I'd also like to know the answer to this. I was thinking of setting up a tank for a while and letting it grow algae. But if nori works then that's easier for sure.

Algae wafers are a big hit with mine. Snail races

In QT though? Algae should be the least of your problems IMO.

I think lack of algae is the problem.

If you do not feed the snails during the quarantine period I am sure they will die.

For invert QT, I always put in nori sheets. Take half a sheet, fold it into postage stamp size, rubber band it to a rock, replace as needed. My snails fight over the nori rock. I add one occasionally to the DT (but never one that's been in the QT)
