What to feed Zoas

Hello, I bought a small colony of zoas about a week ago they have been doing fine but ive been a lil worried because I'm not sure what to feed to help them grow better. Any suggestions? Or do they just feed like my feather dusters?

they do not need to be fed. they feed through photosynthesis

Oh ok is that why they close when the lights go out also??

yes. possibly could get a bit colder too depending on your light source

you can feed them anything.. mine eats random mysis shrimp that it catches.. you can target feed them pellets, mysis, any sea food.. or broad feed the tank with coral food (reef/coral frenzy)

feeding makes them grow faster.. it's totally not necessary.

Oh ok I was thinking about buying coral frenzy off amazon is it any good?? My lfs told me brine and pellets mixed in blender is best for them...

Almost anything you feed the fish that is in small particles will work for feeding your corals. Bigger polyps like zoas and lps can take bigger food, small polyps like sps need fine particle size so they can catch it and hold it.
