What to get next?

So Im at the point where im unsure what to purchase next for my tank. Ive got an ATO, good lights, good skimmer, refugium, kalkwasser, RO system and im sure im missing some. What would be my best and most benneficial next purchase? GFO?

Is this tank up and running? if not you may have missed test kits, refractometer, reactor if you need gfo or want to run gac in one (filter bags if not), heaters, thermometers (i prefer one in the tank and one in the sump so that I can check to see if they match plus if one gets broken youstill have aback up in there), mesh top if you want jumping fish, algae magnet scraper, light timers. RO/DI system and a salt mixing station.

Yes its up and running. Sorry for any confusion. I have all of that covered. Its a well running system just looking to improve my coral growth and overall health.

Controllers are great to make everything run smoothly. A gfo reactor is nice too. I did the gfo first but II am using an apex now and it is really cool

+1, a good controller will help you automate all your equipment and allow you to monitor your and and access your equipment while you are away on vacation. A GFO and carbon reactors would also be nice to have, but for me a controller would be my first choice.

If your not having any issues with algae or have higher phosphates, I dont think you need gfo but couldnt hurt. If everything is doing well id just sit back and enjoy.. Do you have a proper qt set up? What if you want to add a fish? I would put my money into stuff like that.

I have a controller to deal with the lights, the refugium lights, heater and fans. It really helps to be able to program something like: "start the heater at 74 or below and the fans at 80 or above".

I do have a qt. I have both fish and coral. No real algae problems and have only had a positive phosphate reading once. All other times it reads 0.

You know what KISS is right? We have to remind ourselves of that often in engineering. If its not broken don't fix it, if everything is running smooth and you are happy don't get anything. I would recommend something like an apex controller as a security blanket. Other than that save up for a bigger system :)

See my post on GFO's elsewhere. YOu shouldn't run it all the time: only if you have algae you don't want.

I agree with sk8r on gfo. If you arent running it now and dont have any phosphate issues, there is no reason to run it.

I suppose your right. I guess im not used to haveing a "complete set up". Since I started this hobby Ive been saving up for items each month. Now Ive got nothing to blow money on lol :uhoh2:. Maybe a nice coral purchase is in order.
