Fixture are always more expensive. I would look into a ATI 4 x 36'' fixture they can be found on the sponsors site, if you have time you can build up your 50 post and 90 days and get a used fixture. The ATI will allow you to keep anything you like and they have an excellent reputation but not cheap. Another choice would be a 4 x 54 ATI these can be bought used for cheap.

Yes a 4x54w ATI powermodule/Sunpower, Sunlight Supply TEK/TEK ELITE,Giesseman, Aquactinic, Aquaticlife, Catalina, Current nova pro...all these will work but the best are ATI, TEK,AQUACTINICS, AQUATICLIFE, GIESSEMAN.
The only problem is Aquactinics & Sunlight Supply (TEK) is no longer in business, but they are great if you get them cheap...worst case scenario is you buy new ballasts.

I have found halides for pennies on the dollar, literally. I spent $500 on a new 4x24 ATI Sunpwer & bulbs & later found a 150w Phoenix 14k bulb, reef optix pendant & sunlight supply m-81 bluewave ballast combo for $50 ( i actually bought 4 of them for $200 )I love my T5, but I coulda got by for much cheaper buying used halides.

You can also look into combo halide/T5 fixtures. The Sunlight Supply Maristar & Maristar II, Hamilton Cebu Sun & Belize fixtures, Current Outer Orbit (I have this in 150w / 4x24w T5 / blue&white Led moonlights...but I would get a halide fixture with external ballasts that match your bulbs, so you can have a better ballast & easily swap for another if necissary.
