What to mount frags with?

I've tried super glue gel and epoxy and niether seems to work well. Is there a trick to it?

Put a drop of super glue on the frag and the mount.
Then push the two pieces together. Should work.

I put some super glue on the plug, dip it in water, then shove the frag onto it. The water helps it start to dry.

Before you put the gel glue on the frag, dab the cut part it with a rag to make it drier.

I found that this makes the adhesion work better.

Is there a difference in the amount used, maybe I put too much on is less better?

I've always found that a little piece of reef safe epoxy allows for good attachment.

I do superglue on the plug, then small piece of epoxy, then superglue again on the epoxy, then push the frag onto the plug.

That's an idea combining the two... has anyone had the trouble that it appears to stick well then later accidentally bump it and it falls off?

I should elaborate a bit - before you put the glue on the epoxy, press the part of the coral you are going to mount into the epoxy. Then apply the glue and press into the same spot and give a small twist. This should make sure you have a little bit of glue in every nook and cranny in order to get a really good hold.
