What tongs or other tools to reach bottom?

My tank is 28" deep and I am tired of getting my arms we up to my pits trying to work towards the bottom of my tank. My reef gloves aren't long enough and I haven't found any tongs that are worth their weight in salt. I would like to be able to pick up broken pieces of coral on the bottom or to place a new frag on the bottom without taking a bath.

What have you found that works?
