What treatments do I buy????

Ok, so I finally am going to be setting up my QT to treat a couple of fish with ich. My question is what treatments do I buy other than doing the hypo treatment. Is anything else recommended? Thanks.

I personally don't care for hyper as low as 1.09. But for treatment either copper or formalin or both can be used together.

I've had good success with Hypo for ich, now, if it's velvet or something else, I haven't ran across it. But if/when I do I would go with copper.

So just hypo for now and will treat for other problems if I witness the symptoms for other diseases.

In most cases hyposalinity is considered an effective treatment for ich. Copper is a very effective treatment for ich but is harder on the fish and argueably more difficult to administer (test kits, daily testing etc).

Quote from Seachems website ... cupramine FAQ
Q: Is there is any problem with using Formalin in concentration of 25mg/l with Cupramine ?
A; YES! Do not use Formalin with Cupramine or any other copper medication. It will reduce the Copper +2 to Copper +1 which is highly toxic at even small doses.

Hope this helps.

I have used hyposalinity successfully for crypto. Copper is like chemotherapy for a cancer patient. It is slightly more toxic to the ich than the fish. I recommend hypo.
