What type of clownfish is this?

White Stripped Maroon to be exact.

How big is the fish? It could possibly be a yellow stripe maroon but isn't old enough to show the coloration of the gold/yellow.

when juvenile the maroon clown is bright orange??
the size of the clownfish was about 1.5" and was bright orange.

I would have to say Juv. Maroon Clownfish. and if that is the case, xxpipedreamxx is correct in saying that this may not be a white striped marron, and it maybe gold striped. But we/you should be able to tell whether it is or is not a gold striped marron clownfish.

As for your question about the bright orange coloration, his/her color will vary greatly depending on genetics, quality and frequency of feeding, and whether or not it was raised in poor water conditions upon many other things.
