Question : I have in the past used well water from one source and had very very good luck with it. I know this is somewhat Taboo but I had incredible luck with it. But Pun intended that well has dried up.
I have seen in this forum several times the mention of Ro/Di i believe. Is this regular distilled water??

RODI is not the same as distilled.
However they will both work for Saltwater tanks.

Just drop down the $200 and get a nice RODI,
Don't take the chance with tap, you have WAY too much invested in your tank.

Its tap water that has been filtered with a reverse osmosis system then passed through a deionizing filter. Units like this are available from a number of vendors here on RC including

www.buckeyefieldsupply.com
www.thefilterguys.biz
www.purelyh2o.com
It makes sense to purchase your own RO/DI system so you have control of your waters quality. Some of us also use the RO for drinking water and ice maker too, it makes clear good tasing ice cubes believe it or not!

Spring water is a marketing term, you are probably safer with most tap water than raw spring water now days (sorry to say)
