Basement. The basement might grow into the crawlspace, depending on how the excavation goes and how many boulders there are.

Oh no. You see, we are getting all the rain out of the way now, so it won't be raining when I start building. :wildone:

Actually, since I am building with ICF the rain is not as much of an issue. No external wood framing to get wet and moldy. It does need to clear up long enough for the roof to go on properly, though. Last week would have been perfect...

Sure, I'll give tours. No, I found an experienced builder fairly easily -- I asked the local energy efficiency guru who he was having build his house.
