What would cause a bare spot like this on my SPS?

I removed my little bastard blenny 2 days age, my wife loved the fish so I have that trouble now, and things are already looking better! I hope things continue to improve. NO AEFW, I looked for that many months ago and have found none. This is all following a red bug incident as well as a stupid mistake with alk supplement all in the last 6 months which has set me back several more months. CROSS FINGERS for me.

Just a quick update. It has been a week since I removed the blenny. All the bare spots on my SPS have recovered and I have had no more new spots appear. So it looks like he was the culprit.

Good news! This hobby has enough headaches. (Note to self: no blennies)

blennies = blemishes? hmm i have had that problem just once also with the plum crazy and the red planet but only once or twice i thought it was the power head ? i have no blennies nor bugs and it just happened to the plum crazy and the red planet once ..no alk swings or water issues right?

With SPS, it could be numerous things. Aot of times it is hard to narrow it down and be exact. But I think I lucked out and found mine. You could have another issue like a crab.

Figure out EVERYTHING that can cause the problem.... Then, one by one, check things out. Eventually the culprit will reveal itself. Start with the simple solutions and work towards the stranger things. IMHO
