What would everybody like too see at Frag swap in Jan/Feb in Rochester???

If this swap is not happening, I'd be happy to put a larger focus on swapping at the Open House on March 20th (see about setting up Fragswapper, etc.).

Don't want to steal any thunder here, just putting out another alternative if needed. :)

I'm not trying to 'steal any thunder' either, but there will most definatly also be the Buffalo Swap on Saturday 3/13 for people interested in buying/selling.

Sounds like this is dying on the vine. Maybe bailout and let Scott do it at the school. At least the logistics would be easier. He would need to have the time to get organized though. Its not far at all for Rochester people and closer for southern tier people. JMO. If we don't decide soon, Scott won't have time to get his act together. Then we will have 2 crappy swaps. Scott would have the resources and he has classrooms with tables etc. SOMEONE NEEDS TO MAKE A DECISION THIS WEEKEND.

I'm definitely coming to Scotts regardless, but if there's a possibility of making a cpl

purchases, that would be excellent!!!

I'm down... it sounds like there is a TON of interest, but see no frag swap thread and no verdict. what' s up. I also live like 2 miles away.

I think it's safe to say that this swap won't be happening considering the date.

Hopefully everyone will be able to make it to the two swaps in March, I've had quite a few sellers contact me so it should be a great turn-out! :)

hey everyone, this is my first post on this forum. i just recently relocated to the rochester area from akron, ohio due to a new career opportunity at Paychex. needless to say i brought my 75 gallon reef tank with me and am trying to build a local network of saltwater fish and reef enthusiasts. i live downtown and so far have visited the Caribbean forest, and the Reef Shoppe. both of those places have a beautiful selection of coral, the only bad thing is they seem to focus on full size corals rather than frags. since we all know full size corals are "top dollar" and the fun of it all is watching these animals procreate, id really like to find a place or even events that specialize in coral frags that way I can really add some diversity to my aquarium. does anyone know if the "frag swap" mentioned in this post has been set in stone or not? if not, does anyone know of any good frag stores in the area besides the two i mentioned? my name is dalton and you can reach me via email at dbmangrum@gmail.com. thanks in advance to all those that reply!

Everybody,

I had to take a leave of absence. Many personal problems at one time. Much more then i could handle. Sorry if this has caused any distress among fellow reefers. Just wanted to say, if this is to still exist i will not be able to participate. Im now working 7 days a week till further notice too make things much worse and i am at my breaking point. It is up to whoever wants to set it up. I only wish i could of had it happen as i planned. Sorry for any inconvenience and the let down.

Sincerely,

Jason

Jason, things happen...it's okay. Don't beat yourself up about it. Do what you need to do to take care of YOU. The rest of us will find a way....

Hang in there with the schedule...we'll all be here for ya when ya get back!

Not a biggie. Scott sounded like he can build it into the classroom open house. Sounds like there is a lot of interest for the swap.
