What would you do with this coral?

My LFS gave me this coral for free because it obviously wasn't doing well.

I have had it in my frag tank for several months and now it looks like this

It lost some polyps but the remaining polyps really expand out now with feeder tentacles. I have been feeding it mysis and brine about twice a week.

Should I frag the living pieces off or will it grow to cover the dead skeleton?

Leave it or frag it, really doesn't matter. I would frag because I like cleaner smaller pieces. Plus you can trade a frag.

If you're planning on fragging it eventually, I'd do it now. I would personally look forward to watching it recover the skeleton, though.

I guess that's what I'm really asking. Will it recover the existing skeleton?
