This week I have been getting a few questions pretaining to this animal. As you all know they have been popping up more recent and with the price to cheap how can you resist not purchacing one? Also you might be told that they are easy to keep without any issues.

Sea apples amoung sea cucumbers as well produce or emit a toxic that is lethal to fish but not to some inverts, this toxin is called holothurin. This toxin is emited through the walls and internal organs when stress is induced to this animal. They are easy targets for fish to pick and not usually looses the battle when it comes to a powerhead.

In the aquarium Sea Apples usually slowly perish and starve to death. They need a high level of plankton which is hard to produce in a close looped system since of water quality issues. Sea Apples attend to feed during the night but have been seen to expose there crown during the day.

Conclution?
Do not buy Sea Apples because they are pretty but if you would like to start over your system by all means. As once again you would not see me purchase this animal that I believe that belongs in the ocean. Thanks Again...
