whats a good fish with Personality?

I used to think it was a scribbed rabbit. He'll eat out of my hand and always swims near the front of the tank when you're near...until I got a Sargassum trigger. That guy is a pure attention hog. Swims in the open constanty and not bothered by a hand in the tank. I'm sure if I wanted to catch him, I could just grab him at any time....and he'd like it!

Magnificent fish! Great photo, too!

Has anyone mentioned that midas blennies "smile" at you? Well, it looks like a smile ;) Ya' gotta love a fish that greets you with a smile first thing in the morning :D

I second the cowfish. We have one at work and loves attention. It spits water(pretty far too, measured at 2 feet) and will bite you for food. I know that latter from experience, ouch!

In Fenner's book he includes puffers and possibly cowfish as being among the most intelligent fish along with the triggers

My little cowfish, will follow you around, watch tv and spit water when it's feeding time :) get's along with everyone in the tank, including corals. Ohh and eats like a cow!!!

I was thinking of getting a small cowfish aswell for my reef. I was wondering if you have any shrimp or anything like that? has be nipped at any of your corals??

No no problems at all he picks algea all day, I have pepermint shrimp, snails, astrea snaills, etc., I feed him mysis, brine, nori, shrimp. The only think he won't eat is flake :) He is in my tank with all this :)

Those cowfsh are fun to look at when they're small... but they get big and ugly.. real big and real ugly :) You guys probably know but they're also toxic if they die.

yeah the toxic thing is rare thoug. I read some threads that they died with no effects on the tanks, others not so lucky. When mine was really little just a few months ago :) like 5 months ago, he was getting stuck in the power heads, who knows for how long, I'm sure he was stressed out but nothing happed (lucky). Now he is strong enough the pull himself out of them :). Still a beautifull fish!

Thanks,

This guy can spot me coming from across the room and starts swimming around begging for food. He's got a ton of personality and it does look like he is smiling at you. Here is another shot of him peeking out of a rock:

I love my Broomtail Wrasse and Sargassum Triggerfish, I have had sharks, eels, puffers and nothing can beat a Broomtail Wrasse or a Sargassum Triggerfish for looks or personality!

Starry blenny for small fish and puffers for large fish.

My starry blenny is so funny, he is a trip to watch. Just got him today.
