whats a good substrate for a nano?

I have always gone with fine sand but it always gets stirred up too easy, thinking of going with aragonite. is there a happy a medium?

I like the look of my carib sea reef-sand that is a mixture of mostly fine sand with small pieces of aragonite and tiny shells. In my 8gallon w/ mp10 on lower flow there is no stirring up.

I am going to have to put whichever powerhead I go w rather low so I don't want anything to fine that sounds good
