What's a good way to vacuum detritus off curing live rock?

Just added live rock and the powerheads have already blown off a bunch of dead bio material. What's the best way to vacuum/remove it all?
Also, the heaters are building up scales and the precipitate flaking off needs to be removed.

Siphon it out while you water change. IMO you shouldn't have any build up on the rock if you do then there is not enough flow in that
spot

I'm not using a siphon for water changes, waste water is plumbed out of the sump. But siphoning is the general way to go? The detritus is all over the bottom of the tank not on the rock.

lots of options. A few off the top of my head

Use a turkey baster or a powerhead to knock the detritus off the rock and then do a water change.

Use a siphon hose and siphon out what you don't want in there.

Use a gravel vac which is just a fancy siphon hose.

Use a wet vac and suck it up.

Careful with a wetvac if you go that route. Some of them like to leak all over the place when they get full. Just FYI

I usually just siphon with a small diameter hose. something large and you can take out too much water before you get all the detritus out of the tank.
