Whats crawling on my glass

Todesengel

In Memoriam
First time I have seen this little intresting creature. Its transparent in shape, and seems to have a huge mouth that it uses to pull its body. I can't really describe the shape so check out my mspaint skills.

are they good or bad for your tank..??

I have those that are whitish.. clear..

Their 'mouth' bubbles up and sucks in whatever it is cleaning from the glass..

They were whiteish and clear. I looked up flatworm and it doesent look like anything I could find. Its about the size a pinky nail. Only one of them.

stomatella snail from the belly side most likely. Beneficial.

Not clear, but whitish and sort-of that shape.

Naah, that's no snail.. That is most definitely a flatworm. Not the usual red pest or brown pest kind, but a flatworm nevertheless. The white/clear ones will try and eat small pods or other small flatworms. Unfortunately they won't eat any of the flatworms you would want them to eat...

As far as those little clear guys with the forked tails,, there should be no need to worry as they are reef-safe and I have been told by many!!

I´d say a flatworm as well. Some species eat coral but most don´t. If you don´t see them attacking your corals or exploding in numbers I wouldn´t worry about it. I have always had a few in my tank to no ill effect.

They move very slow, no way they could catch a pod!

Don't expec them to eat a 3/8" long isopod. But "pod" is a pretty loose term. Pay attention and you will see them eat more than just "pods".

I have the same little guys. I have about 2-4 of them. There kinda wierd looking. Does anyone have a pic of hidroid jellys...I have some start looking things on my tank as well.

Thanks,

Josh
