What's does everyone think?

So I'm using such a small amout of gfo and carbon on my 29g biocube that I thought i'd try something. So I put the gfo and carbon mixed between 2 sponges and put a bag of purigen below it.

Anyone see any issues? I'm changing the gfo weekly 2 tablespoons mixed with 1 tablespoon gac.

yeah I see a problem. They need to be tumbled at two different rates...

carbon and gfo? My thoughts are and you can mix gfo and carbon and sandwich them together. As long as they don't tumble Neither will rub together?

I'm willing to take the carbon out but I replace it so often it's not going to clump.

But GFO tumbling is ideal, although it would surely work if they are not rubbing.
