What's going on here?

Sorry for the bad pic but it's really hard to focus with my iPhone. Im not sure on the name of this coral but I've had it for almost a year and today it looks like its stn'ing.

My tank is a 29g biocube HQI
ALK: 8dkh
Cal: 430
Mg: 1350ish
Temp: 78.6
Ph: 7.89 (it always runs low)

I added 3 new corals a few days ago and the one slimed up a lot could that do this? Other changes are fresh gfo and carbon and 6 layers of screen for light acclimation. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1346444694.377908.jpg

Tough to say. Is the birdsnest bright green or is it brown. May be lack of light, flow, nitrates? Can you post some more pictures?

Not sure if these are any better. It's not a birdsnest, it's hard to see but normally it's a tannish brown with green polyps. The top is still normal polyps out but the bottom is turning white

Looks like a poccilopora. Parameters look good, except low PH. I don't think that is the problem. It could be low nutrient or low light? You say you just changed your gfo, carbon, and are running biopellots? You could of stripped the water too fast. Easy to do with GFO and Biopellets. Maybe take one of them offline and see how it does? I think the screening for application is okay, since the water is probably super clear now and the light penetration may bleach it, but what do I know. Good luck, rye!

I looked around and I think it's a Montipora Digitata. I'd have to cut it off the rock to dip it, could this be from lack of light? I have the whole tank shaded for the new coral.

The new ones are happy as can be, polyps are swaying in the breeze.

Ok I pulled the gfo out, I do change the gfo every second friday. Same amount 4 tbs gfo 2 tbs carbon. Pellets have been online since march.

Phosphates .05 on the Hanna. 2 days ago it was .09 so maybe that's it.

New theory: i placed the new Blue tipped purple slimer next to this coral in a hole in the live rock. I didn't realize whenever my vortech went from short pulse to full on the coral would rock in the hole and slime. Looks like the slime is around the base of this coral until short pulse turns on again and pushes it away.

Thoughts? Sorry for all the posts haha
