Whats going on with my clove?

I got this red algae type stuff on my clove. It's been a few days now. the heads that have it on don't open but the others do. I have 150w halides with 4x T5's for lighting.

I managed to pull it off in one big chunk. Seems to be red macro algae.

Strange that it was just growing on that point. ?? I was fixin to say it looked like cyano, but didn't see any anywhere else.
