Now Im not a domain registry expert, and I didnt stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night, but it seems to me that what was posted above in no way proves anything.

What is proven above, is that certain persons have a problem with either the staff/owners/or business of SITC. Now, it is none of my business, as Im not affiliated in any way with SITC, but it does seem that there is a great deal of libelous talk going on here.

I dont fully understand the hostility between the LFS's, but I do know that Ive been to both stores, and despite a decent geographical distance, there is also a substantial difference in the way business is conducted by both entities. The constant inflammatory posts do nothing but reflect poorly on the business that certain persons are representing under a thinly shielded veil.

I know the owners of SITC, and I know them to be upstanding, ethically driven people.

I believe what has gone on here is greatly inflammatory, and the RC mods will surely agree.

Oh man! maybe WWC did it to make SITC look bad! or maybe some guy just thought it would be funny and didn't mind paying out of his pocket for the little joke........or maybe it was ME.....you know....just to instigate something.

I suppose all those could be possible, though I have knowledge that at least one isn't the case

Have you never done any kind of web work ever? Most of the time when you purchase a domain name from any provider there is something like "whois protection" etc etc..

If every business had a traceable registrant of a domain name (name, address, phone) and that is stuff i'm sure YOU wouldn't want on the internet, why would anyone else want to either? It's very common practice. You still have no proof of who did what and I find it extremely insulting that anyone belonging to a club that SUPPORTS its sponsors would even dare to make an implication about one of said sponsors.

Frankly, you're only making yourself look like a jerk, and this is just one of those reasons I never bothered to sign up for the club this year. It's a shame really, the speaker from the Georgia Aquarium looks like an amazing event.

look....I wasn't trying to bash anyone......I just spent like 15 minutes typing and retyping the address in trying to go to WWC's site this morning. It took me a while before I figured out that I was missing the "s"

can I not post to ask what was going on? I'm not very website savy so I didn't realize that you could even do that!

No one has ridiculed you. Im not very internet savvy either. It is a great stretch for anyone to think you did this absent the intent of instigation. If it was the first time such a coincidence had happened, I may be inclined to believe you.

In the dot com boom in late 90s there were domains that were sold for millions, just the domain, even now there's people that register domains to sell them later, that's a very common practice, but IMO redirecting or forwarding this kind of domains to another site (competitors' site) is not good, anyway, that's business.

I didn't mean you Juice exactly, I know you were just trying to figure out how something worked but I really meant the attitude the Browns are having on this.

Someone could make yourlocalfishstoresucks.com and either have an anonymous proxy registration or they could even dupe the info to make it reflect someone who didn't actually register it. The fact that someone would spend their spare time pointing fingers at fellow sponsors of a club they are in is just embarrassing to the club, and harmful to the stores brought into this whole debacle.

LMAO chrisstie, My attitude its great FYI. I am simply agreeing with what JUICE stated. Also I just posted some facts that I found online. I should be able to express opinions of mine good or bad. We don't live in a perfect world so I am not going to lie to make someone look good when they don't. To me it seems like ONLY say good things or nothing at all. I don't believe in that and if I feel a LFS to ripping people off, doing bad business, or Publix is ripping people off, I feel other people, my friends on here should hear about it and not have the same experiences I had. I never said they did anything wrong, I simply stated my opinion in this matter. Obviously people cant handle other peoples opinions sometimes...

Like Forrest Gump said, "That's all I have to say about that!"

Also if you were meaning if I have ever done web work..... That's my specialty, I am a software engineer and own a web business.

I agree great business sense but makes you look just like the people that expecting movies stars hate. They can't release any names of their baby until they figure out which one they are going to use because of people that will purchase all the possibilities in order to make a buck.
