I have these white spots that started growing on my rock and glass. They are growing in clusters, they are a very bright white color and flat, almost paper thin. They are about the size of an eraser. They remind me of the spots someone gets in their throat when they has strep.

Here are some on the glass.....they do look like some sort of animal from the backside, but they don't move.

Here is a cluster on the rock at the base of the candy cane coral.

I'm going to agree due to how they're being found in clusters in similar locations and from behind you can see what look like eggs.

Of what though...? I'm quite curious as I've never seen anything like 'em.

What snails/inverts do you have in your tank that you know of? Any that you've never been able to identify?

Ahhh, eggs. That sounds like a good explanation. And to further add to that possibility, I just added a bunch of new snails to the tank last Tuesday. I have actually seen snails lay eggs in the tank before but they have been those long squiggly strands on the glass and didn't look like this. The snails I added include, cerith, nassarius, nerite and a couple turbos. Lets hope I get some babies before the fish find 'em!! :D

Well, I believe I finally figured out which snails are laying the eggs. It looks like its the Nerite Snails. There are 5 of them on my overflow and 100s of the eggs all over it. The ones in the pics above still haven't hatched but they are still on the glass and rocks.

In the last 120g I had, It was next to my computer so I got to watch the snails mate sometimes. A few would come out and then for about 20 minutes, every one of them came up. First time I saw it, I lmao. I wanted to post a vid on youtube with 70's porn music.
