Hey guys. So the zoas I've had now for about 2 weeks now. I got 3 little frags and 2 of them are doing well. The 3rd doesn't open all the way and has some weird stringy stuff growing out of it which has progressively gotten worse. I'll try to attach a pic so maybe you can help me id what it is and how to fix it.

looks to be a webbing from a vermatid snail but the pic is a bit rough....
do a goole search for them and then look for there shell , careful though it is sharp so dont break it with your finger. once found epoxy it over or fill with superglue
What if I took it out and gave it a dip? Would that get rid of the snails (if that is what it's from?)
no a dip will not kill them best to block off there hole.
im not sure either if its them as the pic is kind of crappy lol
it could be many things including bacterial film ( possibly from carbon dosing or naturally occurring )
in any case the trail should be easy enough to follow , it doesnt come from no where
