I had 3 beauty anthias (lyretail) and now I have one and suspect that he is going to kick it as well.

I looked at the disease faq and did not see anthing appropriate.

red blotches, lifted scales, not eating, slow and sluggish then death.

any thoughts on this?

My params are where they should be. They were fine for 2 weeks then this.

I feed them the good stuff (mysis, cyclopeeze, brine shrimp). Now one thing that I thought of is that i was supplementing the food with a bit of fresh garlic ground into the food... too much for the anthias?

no I see is harrassing them at all.

thanks,
dave

sounds like a baterial infection i used to get in fresh water fish not sure though check out

internal bacterial infections.

if it is then check your water quality carefully.

i would do a couple of large water changes anyway and post your paramaters.

Certainly could be a bacterial infection, especially if the fish has been injured or attacked by parasites. It could also be uronema or even brooklynella. Need more detailed description and symptoms to have a better chance or guessing right.
