I just put some in a container of cycled rock to get the phosphate down before introducing to a tank.
I'll let you know how it goes.
Phosphates are at .5ppm before dosing. Dosed 4 tablespoons

I've been using SeaKlear Phosphate Remover for several months.
Using lantheumn chloride must be diluted with ro water dripped very slowly (over the course of several hours) and filtered through no larger than a 10 micron filter sock (to strain out the flatulent that is produced by it binding with the PO4).
I drip it, approx 1 drop per every 3 seconds, via an iv bag into my skimmer body and filter the skimmer return through a 5 micron filter sock.
I would never dose it any other way, and definitely would not just pour it into the water.

I know this is an old thread, but I would be careful with the advice to rely on the MSDS. It is only intended to describe material that may be hazardous to humans, it doesn't always give the entire makeup of the product and there could be things hazardous to a reef tank that wouldn't show up on it.

Very valid point. So far He has been using for a couple of weeks and so far hasn't reported any ill effects. Will update with either good or bad results. SeaKlear not available in our area so he went with a more widely available one.

That is some funny autocorrect there.
It worked well.
Dosed 4tbsp 3 or 4 times over 8 days (as it is 1/3 the strength of SeaKlear). Waited 2 days and then tested phosphates.
They are now at .058 instead of .5ppm. I am going to wait 4-5 more days before testing again to confirm they stay low without dosing/

Great to see this. Also keep us updated with how everything goes once this rock is in a display tank. I feel this product is much easier to obtain than SeaKlear, and would be nice to see peoples results.
My friend is also doing well with the product, dosing very slowly and has had no ill effects. He has not sent me his phosphate readings, so can't comment on the efficacy.

From what I read it is not as concentrated as Seaklear, but boy is it strong. I have tried it. My phsophates were .125 ppm. I put 3 drops in my skimmer, and later that day my phosphates were 0. My goal is to get .001-.003 ppm. Dilution is definitely necessary to make it viable in a doser.
