What's my Blenny's scientific name?

I'll post a clearer picture tomorrow...but any help would be appreciated. LOL cool thanks. He likes to pick at my Nassirius snails...that's for sure...little bugger.

It looks like an Ecsenius species for sure. Judging by the tail color, you may have bought a "flametail" blenny. Thing is, I haven't seen one with such a dark body before. That's the closest match I can come up with, though.

Flametail blennies haven't been described yet as far as I know.

If his body is dark and dorsal fin and tail are yellow, it could be Ecsenius lividanalis. If the anterior body is orange/yellow it could be Ecsenius bicolor. Or possibly what Amphiprion posted too. A better picture will help.

The blenny in the picture lacks the cirrhi above the eyes--a trait the Ecsenius do not share. The mouth structure looks totally different, IMO, from any of the Ecsenius sp.

Most of the bicolors have the cirrhi above the eyes, so I'm pretty sure that it's not a bicolor. I will take some better pictures right now.
