Whats next

Alright, I have a 28g nano been running for about 5 months. Have a six line wrasse, snails, frogspawn, torch, hammer, and some candy cane. Everything is doing well. Ive gone through some typical new tank blooms, nothing out of control.

So, whats next? The only maintanance I have been doing is montly water changes of 20%. I have not dosed anything other then a few drops of kent liquid calcium to the water I add during the water change. This will be a mixed reef of LPS, Softies. No real plans to add any SPS. Should I be dosing anything else? If so what do you suggest. I know alot dose 2 part, kalk, etc. But I also know others with nanos just keep up with water changes.

Let me know if you have any suggestions, or if it seems good to just enjoy the ride for now. Just didnt want to sit here thinking all is well if Im just waiting on a chemistry malfunction in the near future.

Thanks

Kevin

Congrats! Subbed since I'm in the same boat, :). 5 month old 36g with softies, LPS, 1 SPS and a few fish. Everything seems to be doing great, just not sure when this "difficult" part comes in. I think as long as you continue with proper maintenance (water changes) everything really is that simple.

Been in the hobby with different tanks for about 10 years. Ive had my fair share of ups and downs for sure. Just wondering if I should be taking another measure other then the monthly water changes on the nano. Congrats on the tank!

thanks! Just shutoff my skimmer to try and build up some nitrates for the zoas to eat, between that and the cheato I have 0 in the water.
