one O.Clown fish has this milky like film coming off his left eye . it still eats and sleep well . now what ???

Not to experienced. But what i have been told is the water gets to much oxygen in it and can cause pop eye. you see it more with puffers and clown fish.

Most often Popeye is caused be an injury. Reduce traffic near the tank and aggression inside the tank. If both eyes swell, treat with antibiotics. Popeye should go away on its' own, if the fish is given appropriate environment.

Popeye will go away on its own, you said the fish sleeps and eats normally so i wouldnt worry too much. At one point i believed my Coral Beauty had popeye but what happened was that since its always zipping through the rocks it scratched its eye and swelled up. It could be a possibility of what happened to your fish as well. Either way some TLC will cure it
Good Luck!

I am afraid that I must disagree with the above comments. Popeye is symptom, as opposed to a disease, caused by a build up of fluid behind the eye. The pressure forces the eye partially out of its socket, hence the eye looks like it is "popping out". It can effect one or both eyes. Trauma can be responsible, but often it is an infection that can either be of bacterial, viral, or fungal origin. There is no way to tell. Poor water quality can be responsible. Supersaturation of the water with oxygen can be responsible but this cause is uncommon. Thus, the best course of action is to treat the fish with broad-spectrum (Maracyn I and II) antibiotics in a QT tank. If left untreated, the pressure can build up enough to actually cause loss of the eye.
