whats so special about ricordeas?

$20 for a nice ric is fair
people are into them because they have great color, super easy to keep, they need so special attention and do well in most tanks, they prefer lower lightning and great to watch them eat. They are fun to collect and come in a lot fo cool colors. They dont grow terribly fast but I think they have such a nice bubbley texture and ricordias gardens always look amazing

My clowns currently host an enormous blue ricordia

Those Rics are nice..Very nice..Going to get a few myself when I everything set up and good to go..
Depends on the Ric's color and if its something you "gotta have". It will always be supply and demand with any coral out there. What one person finds as boring, the other person finds as fascinating.

Either one of these below will bring color and movement to an aquarium.

I'm sure this thing glows like mad under RB leds.

And let's not forget mushrooms. Yeah, it's a mushroom, but how many of these have you seen?

I've had a ric on a rock in my tank for id say about 8 months now, and it hasn't split once. Still a single one attached to the rock, he has gotten considerably bigger though

Mine never "split" but I just see a couple new tiny half dime sized rics popping up every month or so. I'm not an expert on coral reproduction but in my experience rics are worst than my GSP.

Whats the difference between Yuma and Florida anyway appearence and behavior wise? I can never figure out whether mine are yuma or florida.

Identification is based on if the small balls extended to the mouth (yuma), or if there is a flat piece of tissue around the oral opening (florida).
