I need a skimmer for a 55 gal Im setting up, I'm hoping to find a good used one and want to know what the best ones are. What is the best hob for a 55 , and what is the best in sump model? For HOB I want a css 120 but dont really know the best, I have just heard alot of good reviews on it.

Tagging along!! I could have just posted the same thing as I've been beating myself up all night (mentally) over what skimmer to buy, to fit in a 20 L sump. I basically have to design the sump around the skimmer so I need to know the footprint of the skimmer, if I can ever decide on one. I've been pouring over info from all the major brands and reading feedback in the forums. Customer service looks to be lacking at all of them right now and this is very disappointing considering what they're asking for many of these units.
H&S look like a good possibility but it sounds like their external models work better and this isn't an option for me. I've seen a lot of great reviews for the Tunzes. Their fan club is definately alive and well. I just don't know if I'm sold on them yet either.
If somebody who has owned their skimmer for 5 years and is still happy could chime in, that would be great.

I'm just looking for a good priced one that will do a good job. I've heard the typhoon and css are good but I dont know anything about the in sump skimmers. I'm mainly wanting a css but also want to know whats good in case I see a used for sale. I cant go all out on the skimmer because I'm married LOL.
