After my tank crashed on new year's, my montis turned white. Someone stated that they would probably turn a light brown (which they have) and then grow algae or something to that effect. Before I throw them out, I wanted to get a few more opinions.
Is there any tissue left on them? Bleached can recover. All tissue missing will be a toss out for sure. If there is any piesces of tissue even browned out can be fragged and recover. It will take a while but it's possible to start over. I started years ago with an ATL pink polyped green monti about the size of a dime. Now it's huge and in both my tanks. Good luck.
Montis are nuts through I scaped all of my superman off a rock when I got the nudis and af5er 3 months it grew back and I thought I got it all off the rock so I say leave em and see
I guess I'll leave them in for about a month and see what becomes of them. I've been seeing some very nice ones on LiveAquaria with colorful specks of a different color. Does anyone have any frags of these?
