I woke up this morning and found the front door wide open, it must have not been closed good. Anyway, the heater was not on, and the temp inside the house dropped to 67*. The tanks temp dropped down to 75* from its normal 80*. I havnt been home all day to see if it has affected any of my livestock. How crucial is 75*???

As long as it dosnt sit for too long, you should be ok, mine did that not to long ago and worried the heck out of me, but everything was fine.

I woke one morning to see my monitors saying 71 degress. Turned out that when I asked my dad to unplug my lights, he unpluged the power strip that I also have my heaters on.

I keep my tank at 77 with a chiller, every morning I get up it is at 74-75 I have no problems with that temp. It would effect your fish the most with the temp swing. You are generaly ok with a 5 deg swing.

Generally, a plunge is better than a spike. 75F actually isn't that bad, even coming down from 80F. A spike to 85F would have been much worse. You should be fine, actually.
