Strange question, I know. I'm about 5 months into setting up a 125 gallon reef, moving all the stuff from my 29 gallon reef into it. All the inhabitants of the 29 are moved except for a psuedocromis and some snails. The rock I want to move over, but it's covered in bryopsis. I don't need it to be 'live', as I have plenty already in the 125 to support the bio load of the 125, so I don't need to spend the time cooking the rock. I just want it dead! ALL DEAD!!!
Well, as long as the bryopsis is completely and permanently gone, anyway. So, just leave it out of water for a day, or week? Fresh water dip it? Soak it in bleach? What's the best way to do this, and how long will it take?
Oh, and I'm kidding about the bleach... unless someone tells me it's the way to go...
