What's this brown stuff in the sump?

Anyone know what this is (the strands growing out)? Definitely want to get it in control before it's a problem. Thanks

Definitely algae but couldnt tell you what strand or species if your sump is compartmentalized you could add some snails to help out just be sure they cant get jammed up anywhere

If it is segmented, it is algae, if it is blue it is sort of a sponge.
