Yeah, I think so. It definitely looks a little odd though.

Looks more like a hairy mushroom though. I'll take a pic when it is fully extended.

Is this your coral? If so, how does it feel to the touch? You should be able to tell right away whether it's a Sarcophyton or a mushroom.
