Whats this stuff?

OK so i wake up this morning and take a look at my tank, and i see this stuff that kinda looks like a baby spider sack. You know when you see one of those in something thats been sitting for a while..... i took some pics to show you....

sorry bout the next one not eing so clear i tried to get a close up, but you can see what im kinda talking about?

Should i be worried and take the rock out?

Hard to tell, but it looks like sponges. That's a good thing.

if the tank/rock is cycling still, it might just be decaying organic material. if it is already cycled, it is more than likely what rich said...sponge.

its still cycling. yeah i looks kinda dead, but like my name says im new.

Had the EXACT same stuff on some base rock from my 90g about a year ago when it was cycling. I worried and wondered and posted pictures as well.

Some said sponges, but it was just a bit of decaying junk. It went away in about a week and never came back. dont worry about it at all.
