whats this?

i got a zoa frag with this thing growing on it. i had originally tried to scrape it off the rock at the store when i bought it and i though i had gotten rid of it successfully but it came back somehow so, I broke the rock to separate it from the zoas. any ideas what this could be? i have peppermint shimp and they dont touch it. anyways the thing is small and has a trunk and tiny bubble-ish branches. another one has grown next to it. any ideas? should i move it out of the display?

Cool. I had one a couple years ago and was never able to get it IDd. I thought it was some kind of hydroid, though, and tried hard to remove it. I had to remove the rock and smother it in Kalk paste to kill it. It also spread slightly over the course of a couple weeks. In the end it disappeared on its own.

Mine was also on a Zoa colony.

it looks like an tiny anemone or something.
